Stendal is a City in the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt, located approx. 110 km west of Berlin and has approx. 45,000 inhabitants. It is the county town of the district of Stendal. Stendal has a long history and was an important City in the dominion of the Archbishopric of Magdeburg in the Middle Ages.
