Homburg
Homburg is the third largest City in the Saarpfalz district with around 42,000 inhabitants.
Homburg is known for its rich culture and history. It has a long tradition in the textile industry and is also known as the "City of Fashion". There are several museums in the city that document the history of the textile industry and the city, such as the Homburg City Museum and the Museum of the Saarland Textile Industry.
One of the city's most famous landmarks is the Schlossberg, a medieval castle on a hill above the city, which is now a popular location for strolling and lingering. In the city center there is a historic market square with numerous stores and restaurants.
One more highlight in Homburg is the St. Johann collegiate church, a Gothic church from the 14th century with impressive architecture and valuable works of art.
One more highlight is the Kurpark, a large park in the center of Homburg with numerous leisure facilities and a tall lake. The park is known for its healing springs and has been a popular recreational area since the 19th century.
