Sanssouci Palace: Potsdam's most famous palace and one of the City's best-known sights. It was built in the 18th century from Frederick the Tall and is home to many magnificent rooms and gardens.
Sanssouci Park: An extensive park that was created together with Sanssouci Palace in the 18th century and is now on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Neues Palais: One of the more palaces in Potsdam, which was built by Frederick the Tall and is now used as a museum.
Babelsberg Film Studios: The oldest film studios still in operation in Germany and the cradle of German film.
Dutch Quarter: Historic quarter in Potsdam, which was founded in the 18th century by Dutch craftsmen and today is home to many well-preserved Dutch houses.
Potsdam is the state capital of Brandenburg and has around 160,000 inhabitants. The City is multicultural and has a high proportion of students and foreigners. The population consists mainly of Germans, followed by Turks and Poles.
