Landshut
Landshut is the third largest City in Bavaria with a population of around 60,000. Landshut is known for its historic old town, which contains many examples of Gothic architecture, such as St. Martin's Church and St. Michael's Church.
One of Landshut's most famous sights is Trausnitz Castle, an impressive fortress dating back to the 13th century. Today it houses the town museum and the Landshut Wedding, an annual festival re-enactment of the wedding of Duke George the Rich and Duchess Hedwig of Bavaria in 1475.
The city is also known for its international relations and partnerships with other cities, such as the partnership with the Italian city of Bra and the French city of Nancy.
