Wittenberg is a City in the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt, located about 80 km south of Berlin and has about 50,000 inhabitants. Wittenberg is best known as an important center of the Reformation in the 16th century, when Martin Luther and Philipp Melanchthon taught and worked here.
