Schwerin
Schwerin has a long history dating back to the Middle Ages. Over the centuries, the City was subject to various rulers and experienced different political and economic phases. In the 19th century, Schwerin was the capital of the Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. Schwerin was badly damaged by bombing during the Second World War, but the city was rebuilt after the war and developed into a modern city.
