Bremerhaven
Bremerhaven is a city in north-western Germany that belongs to the federal state of Bremen and, together with Bremen, forms the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. It is located at the mouth of the Weser into the North Sea and is an important port and transshipment point for international trade.
One of Bremerhaven's most famous attractions is the German Emigration Center, an interactive museum that tells the story of emigration from Germany to the USA and other countries in the 19th and 20th centuries.
One more highlight is the Klimahaus Bremerhaven 8° Ost, an interactive museum that shows the effects of climate change on the world and the different climate zones.
Bremerhaven is also known for its maritime attractions such as the fishing port museum and the training ship Deutschland, a former training ship of the German Navy that now serves as a museum and event venue.
