Wittenberg is a City in the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt, located about 80 km south of Berlin and has about 50,000 inhabitants. Wittenberg is best known as an important center of the Reformation in the 16th century, when Martin Luther and Philipp Melanchthon taught and worked here.

The Castle Church: The church where Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses against the sale of indulgences to the door and where he preached. Martin Luther and Philipp Melanchthon are also buried here.
