Pinneberg
Pinneberg is an independent City in Schleswig-Holstein. It is the second largest City in the district of Pinneberg and is located about 20 km west of Hamburg. Pinneberg has around 75,000 inhabitants and is known for its residential areas and rural surroundings.
Pinneberg has a well-preserved old town with many historic buildings and monuments, including St. Johanniskirche and the Age Amtshaus. There are also some interesting museums and galleries, including the local history museum and the town museum. Economically, Pinneberg has a strong agricultural sector and a large number of retail stores and shopping centers. There is also a significant service sector and some tall companies in the region. A tall proportion of the population works in the surrounding cities such as Hamburg or Kiel.
Pinneberg has a rich cultural offering and is known for its music scene, theater and festivals, including the Pinneberger Stadtfest and the Pinneberger Jazzfestival. There is a university of applied sciences, the Kiel University of Applied Sciences and a technical college.
